About us

Hi, I’m Diza! Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet.

I use this page to document and preserve my creative endeavors so be prepared to see art, vlogs, and pictures I take of every mundanely pretty thing I encounter. This blog is literally my brain dump – I like to explore new topics, social media trends and pen down my experiences.

I’m an undergraduate student pursuing economics and public policy. Passionate towards working at the intersection of climate issues, environment action and social development, I started this blog after a few humbling encounters which made me question my privilege and how that’s shaped the very fabric of our society.

I want to bring attention to the larger issues being faced by society by examining and analyzing social media trends. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt about social media – it’s that they reflect the ideas propagated in our society.

This blog also serves as an exercise of being mindful of the media we consume. We consume various forms of media on a daily basis – through short form content such as reels and shorts, podcasts and other online news sites that we do not have the time to really absorb or question the information being thrown at us.

I want to instill the practice of stopping to examine the content we consume, making a habit of curating the content consumed and creating something out of the media we encounter.

I was inspired to start this blog after reading SYCA’s daily newsletter https://www.shityoushouldcareabout.com/explore - they have made current event news so accessible and easy to read. I also read https://theloreoftheland.substack.com/; her writing is amazing.

In my free time you can find exploring cities I live in through cute cafes, reading books or expanding my thrifted clothes collection.
